The Civic Club of Harrisburg’s Women’s History Garden pays tribute to the myriad of extraordinary women — past and present — who have used their presence and gifts to serve their communities in remarkable ways. These women have, indeed, been an integral part of the rich history of Central Pennsylvania. Enjoy our newly designed grounds, incredible floral displays, and a self-guided garden path around the property whilst immersing yourself in the stories of incredible women in our community.
Mission
The Women's History Garden is a celebration of the women past and present who have contributed to our community. The garden pays tribute to the contributions of Harrisburg's women to celebrate the rich diversities of cultures, races and background that have enriched our region. In March of 2023, we debuted the newly designed grounds, incredible floral displays, and a self-guided garden path around the property which will highlight the stories of incredible women in our community.
Vision
The Civic Club of Harrisburg has commissioned a master gardener and has worked with students from Messiah University to design a beautiful garden augmented by a virtual and interactive experience.
