She and her late husband, Dr. John Judson were active members of Physicians for Social Responsibility which started the Peace Garden along the riverfront. As a member of the Harrisburg Peace Garden Association, Ann Marie promoted the placing of a plaque with a quote by Ida B. Wells, journalist & civil rights activist. As a member of Pax Christi Harrisburg, she helps organize the annual Candles on the Water event to remember the victims is the nuclear bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
