Cathy
Pristas

Mrs. Cathy Pristas has been a steadfast and loyal supporter of the Field Artillery Community for nearly 2 decades. Cathy’s dedication to the Army National Guard family began with her own time in service. Cathy first served in the active duty Army and then transferred to the Pennsylvania National Guard where she served on an active duty status until her retirement after 20 years of military service.

After her retirement, Cathy joined the Pennsylvania National Guard State Family Programs office shortly after its inception serving first as a Family Readiness Support Assistant and then as a Soldier & Family Readiness Specialist.

Throughout her time in Family Programs, Cathy has worked closely with multiple National Guard units throughout the state to ensure each has a functioning Family Readiness Group to provide support for the soldiers and families when needed. The support she provides to soldiers and their families includes financial assistance, resource referrals, and a wide variety of other supports throughout numerous deployments.

Each year, Cathy has organized military share food distributions, school supply distributions, holiday meals, and angel tree Christmas toys for military families. As a disabled veteran herself, mother 2, grandmother of 6, and great-grandmother to many, her dedication to her military community is a testament to her character and service.
